Twister Airboat Rides/ Lone Cabbage Fish Camp Review
3/22/08- Got the whole family together (aunts and cousins and in-laws oh my) to visit Twister Airboat Rides located at the Lone Cabbage Fish Camp right on SR520 just west of Cocoa. The weather barely cooperated as the group took off for a 30 minute ride under the watch of Captain Dennis. Most of the riders had never been on an airboat ride and according to everyone it was well worth the price of the ride ($20.00 per adult and $12.00 for kids 12 & Under and there are longer rides for a little bit more. There is also a printable coupon for $2.00 off each rider located on their website.) The riders saw a variety of wildlife including; a couple of gators, snowy egrets, a bald eagle on the riverbank, quite a few cows, great blue herons, and several species of migratory and non-migratory birds. As stated before, the weather was not the best for spotting wildlife, but Captain Dennis got the job done and everyone is looking forward to their next trip back to Lone Cabbage for their next airboat ride.
