The i9 Sports Flag Football League will
provide fun and skill development for boys and girls ages 6-15, all skill levels
are welcomed... ANYONE CAN PLAY! This program has been developed to help you
become part of a well-organized, national program emphasizing football
education, participation, sportsmanship, and fun! This league is non-contact
continuous action, involving minimal equipment. The games emphasize basic
football skills of passing, catching, defending, and running. In i9 Flag,
participants also learn about formations, pass patterns, and different types of
defense.

are being accepted for our 2008 Fall Flag Football Leagues in
Melbourne & Rockledge
FEATURES OF OUR i9 SPORTS LEAGUE:
SEASON DATES & TIMES: Melbourne - Begins Sunday Sept. 21st until Nov. 2nd for regular division games, plus Divisional Playoffs on Nov. 9th. Games are scheduled to be played Sunday afternoons. Some game times may vary depending on size of each division.
Rockledge - Begins Saturday Oct. 4th until Nov. 15th for regular division games, plus Divisional Playoffs on Nov. 22nd. Games are scheduled to be played Saturday mornings. Some game times may vary depending on size of each division.
FORMAT:
5-on-5…EVERYONE
PLAYS (Rosters will be limited to
approx. 10 players per team. Every attempt is made to structure teams from
their respective area of location, unless a specific request is made).
LOCATION:
Melbourne (
PRACTICE: OPTIONAL one to two practices per week, organized by a volunteer coach for each team. Coaches are able to hold practices in their/your specific area, practice towards your area and play games at one location.
EQUIPMENT:
All registered players receive
an
Official i9 Flag Football
REQUIRED:
Signed waiver, mouth guard, any type of sports shorts (no pockets), sneakers
or sports spike/cleats (no metal cleats). No jeans, hats with rims, metal
framed glasses or jewelry.
VOLUNTEER
COACHES:
Teams are coached by 1-2 volunteers, which can be noted on the registration
form. Each coach is subject to a mandatory background check. Please visit our
website, or contact us, for more information to volunteer as a coach.
OFFICIALS:
Certified officials to referee all games.
AWARDS:
All
players receive a participation medal. "Excellence in Sportsmanship"
medal is awarded weekly to the child of each team that exemplifies the i9
Weekly Value. Season team medal awards are given for their respective Most
Improved Player, Most Sportsmanlike, and Most Outstanding Player. Individual
trophies are given for divisional championship.

SPECIAL
REQUESTS:
We are always happy to honor special requests where your child can play with
friend or sibling as long as they are in the same age group. Requests for a
specific coach are also honored, providing roster space availability.

Schedule:
Cheer will be held for the Flag Football regular divisional games are played
Sunday, Sept. 21st until Nov. 2nd (Playoffs Nov.
9th). Cheer/Games are to be played on Sunday afternoons. Some game
